What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Personal Details

When visitors complete a form on our site, any of the data may be collected for contact purposes. Data collected may include (but may not be limited to) your name and email address.

If you opt in to receive our newsletter, you will share with us your name and email address. We will use this information to send you information about subjects within the interior design industry that you may find of interest. We will also send you information about Sarah Lynch Design and its activities and we may use your details for our marketing purposes. Comments & Surveys

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you answer surveys for us, or leave comments on articles and blog posts, we will collect that information. This may give us information about your preferences, which we may use for our own marketing purposes. We may also record information about how you prefer to be communicated with.
